"We would have given it even more accolades, but, a funny thing happened. On the last morning I got up with two bed bug bites on my leg. Nothing serious, but bites none the less. Strange, because the room was very roomy for Tokyo and the price, and it seemed very clean. Hm."

"The Shinjuku Prince Hotel is a complete rip-off. The staff were rude and demanding or totally ignore you. The hotel may have been nice in it's glory days, but is now old, full of mildrew, peeling paint, damaged walls and just plain rude staff. If they actually notice that you are a guest, you're lucky! Prostitutes hang out in front of the entrance, as do the local yakuza, this is Kabuckijo after all. Overall, this place is a huge disappointment!!!! It is not worthy of it's luxury rating!!!!!"

"The building is somewhat old, but its location and being a high-rise building make it an excellent choice in the Shinjuku area. It is difficult to find rooms in large hotels for less than 15,000 yen. Like all other Japanese hotels I have stayed before this hotel was clean and quiet."

"The breakfasts were not delicious and can be better with more variety and more pastries. The staff are well informed about the attractions in tokyo and this is very good.
We enjoyed the welcome drink offered by the hotel."
